From time-to-time, we’re looking to add Fitness & Performance Coaches to our team. We encourage you to apply, but not before reading the details of what we’re looking for below. If what we describe isn’t you, then do NOT apply. If after reading the description you feel inspired, then you’re more than likely who we are looking for and we highly encourage you to apply.
You can coach a client through a training session while educating them, making them feel good and connecting with them, and getting the desired performance from them. You have the ability to connect in a meaningful way with people from all different backgrounds and abilities.
Our clientele is VERY diverse.
It is apparent to clients and to the COVAL team how passionate you are about helping people and using tenants of human performance as your platform.
You’re genuinely interested in people. A client’s success is not just dictated by their training program, nutrition, etc. The relationship with the coach plays a HUGE role and can determine whether or not exercise is something that they stick with and make a part of their lifestyle for the rest of their life, or for just the next 3 months.
You’re a versatile leader. You can receive a plan from management and execute it with little to no guidance. Another example would be being capable and willing to lead a project that benefits the COVAL brand. And obviously, you’re a leader in the regard that you mange client sessions with integrity and passion.
You have the ability to laugh at yourself.
You have the ability to connect with people from all different backgrounds and can keep a conversation going.
You don’t go through coaching sessions on mute. You’re engaging.
You feel that you have plateaued in your growth process and want to find a team of like-minded individuals who are positively impacting people on a daily basis.
You are not a fan of what you see in regard to the kind of training and coaching that is currently going on in our industry and want to be a part of a team that is doing things “the right way.”
You’re fearful that you never get the opportunity to fully mesh your talent and passion together and as a result have less of an impact in this world and lead a less fulfilling life
You fear that the only way you can earn a living in this industry is by opening a gym and running it yourself
You aspire to continue to grow both personally & professionally. With each year that goes by you feel that last years version of yourself doesn’t hold a candle to this year’s version of you.
You enjoy spending time dedicating yourself to educating yourself further as a professional. Being familiar with concepts taught by coaches like Bill Hartman, Mike Robertson, Eric Cressey, Pat Davidson, Ben House, Cal Dietz, and Zac Cupples will help you tremendously here.
You need to be a part of a team that shares similar values as you and wants to serve people in a similar fashion as you desire to.
- A personal training certification from NSCA, ACSM, NASM, or another respected certifying organization
- AED/CPR certification

If you’re ready to apply, then please send over the following to email@example.com:
- your resume
- 3 professional references
- 1 page letter on why you want to be a part of the COVAL team
Once we receive those materials, then you will either be emailed a technical assessment or notified that we currently are not hiring, but that we will keep your documents on file for the future.
